Farouk Systems, Inc. does not tolerate counterfeit sales of its products and shall seek legal action against those involved.

CHI products are held to the highest industry standards for quality and safety. Counterfeit products may be poorly made, damage your hair, and electrically short.

Authentic CHI products, purchased from an authorized distributor, carry either a 1 or 2 year warranty. CHI products purchased from unauthorized distributors stores and online are not covered under our warranty, even if they include a counterfeit warranty card.

Farouk Systems, Inc. is doing its part to combat this industry wide problem. We work with US Customs, International, State, and Local Authorities to stop the sale of counterfeit CHI products.

Unauthorized manufacturers are mass producing counterfeit CHI products worldwide. Authentic CHI products are only sold through authorized distributors, listed under Where To Buy. Farouk Systems, Inc. does not sell its products on internet auctions. The only way to guarantee a CHI product is authentic is to buy from an authorized distributor.

CHI Quick Smooth FAQs

Q: What is the difference between CHI Transformation System and CHI Quick Smooth?
A: CHI Transformation System is a 10-step procedure that presses the hair with the CHI Iron. This service will result in permanently straighter hair.
A: CHI Quick Smooth is a 5-step procedure with faster service time and no pressing of the hair with the CHI Iron. With CHI Quick Smooth, you can relax the desired amount of curl by adjusting your processing time and the amount of tension used when applying the product. This offers the versatility to wear hair curly, wavy or straight with control.

Q: Will CHI Quick Smooth make my hair 100% straight?
A: CHI Quick Smooth service will permanently smooth the hair to a straighter form. In some cases, straight hair can be achieved depending on the hair texture and formation.

Q: How long do I need to wait when coloring the hair after CHI Quick Smooth?
A: Hair can be colored/highlighted immediately after CHI Quick Smooth service using CHI or BioSilk colors and lighteners using 5 and 10 volume developers.

Q: How long do I need to wait before I can do a re-touch of the CHI Quick Smooth?
A: Between 1 to 4 months depending on the rate of natural re-growth. A minimum of two inches of re-growth is necessary to perform retouches.

Q: Can CHI Quick Smooth be used over other relaxers?
A: CHI Quick Smooth can be used over thio-based relaxers only after a strand test has been performed without overlapping. Hair that has been relaxed with sodium or calcium hydroxide is not suitable for CHI Quick Smooth service.
