and Miss Teen USA 2011 Danielle Doty surprised employees with an impromptu
visit at Houston-based Farouk Systems, makers of world renowned brands CHI and
BioSilk, on March 2, 2011.
Farouk Shami, Founder & Chairman of Farouk Systems,
escorted the titleholders on a personal tour of the Farouk facilities he opened
in 2009 as part of his vow to bring jobs back to America. The girls witnessed
first-hand the assembly process of the CHI “Made in America”
Hairstyling Irons that revolutionized the beauty industry and set the example
for the current trend of bringing jobs back to the United State
from overseas. The inspired duo even joined in the CHI assembly line!
“I am in the beauty industry, so I’m honored these beautiful
women chose to come to Farouk Systems,” Shami said. “Through our on-going
partnership with the Miss Universe Organization, my employees are able to meet
and interact with these inspirational young ladies and I am forever grateful
for our relationship.”

Farouk Systems will further celebrate their ongoing partnership with the Miss
Universe Organization by participating as the Presenting Sponsor of both the
Miss USA® and Miss Universe® Pageants for the first time ever.
