Immediate release—Houston-based Farouk Systems is proud to announce the nomination of Farouk Educator Martyne Leonard for Elite Master Hairstylist in 23rd annual Canadian Hairstylist of the Year Awards—the Contessas.
Leonard and the 10 other finalists in her category were nominated by their peers for this distinguished award. As a nominee, Leonard created five striking styles to determine the ultimate award winner. To achieve the vivid shades, Leonard utilized RR, RV, BB, Noir and Brown from the ammonia-free CHI Infra No Lift line. She used Farouk Royal Treatment by CHI and CHI Magnified Volume styling and finishing products to create volume, enhance texture and shine.
“I am so grateful to be nominated,” Leonard said. “I feel incredibly honored that my colleagues are so respectful of my talent in this extremely competitive craft. Judging for the 21 photography-based categories is performed by a “blind” panel of independent experts, assessing the photographic submissions by number and category only. Identities of each applicant remain anonymous. Submissions are evaluated on originality, creativity, fashion appeal, model suitability and technical execution. Winners are announced at the annual black-tie Contessa gala on October 30, 2011 in Toronto, Canada in front of 1000+ attendees.
